Thousands call for justice at protest in Geneva

Thousands of Tamils gathered outside the Untied Nations in Geneva on Monday, calling for accountability for mass atrocities committed by Sri Lanka.

Protestors marched towards the Palais des Nations, where the 34th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council is currently underway.

Banners and placards called for accountability through an international mechanism for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.

Despite the risks, our team on the ground remain committed to providing detailed and accurate reporting of developments in the Tamil homeland, across the island and around the world, as well as providing expert analysis and insight from the Tamil point of view
