Sri Lankan troops place 28 Buddha statues in new vihara building in Kilinochchi

Troops from the Sri Lankan military orchestrated a religious ceremony and placed 28 Buddha statues in a newly constructed Buddhist vihara building in Kilinochchi last week.

Senior officers were present at the ceremony, which blessed the newly constructed ‘Ata Visi Buddha Mandiraya’ at the Sri Lankan military headquarters in Kilinochchi.

Buddhist monks and senior military officials were present at the occasion, which took place in the 26th of November.
