In a statement following a protest in Mullaitivu, Mariyasuresh Eswari, the president of the Mullaitivu Association of Families of Disappeared, asserted that the departure of Judge T. Saravanarajah exemplifies the unsettling reality that Tamils are being buried in their own land.

MP M A Sumanthiran, speaking at a water project event in the Mulliyawalai area of Mullaitivu, declared that no one could deny the immense pressure faced by the former Mullaitivu district judge T Saravanarajah, who recently left the country, citing threats to his life and undue pressure.

Sumanthiran, addressing the gathering during the water project handover, stated, "No one can say that there was no pressure on the Mullaitivu district judge, and at this moment, we have an obligation to speak out loud."

Tamil families of the disappeared continue their struggle for justice.

The coordinated demonstrations sought answers regarding the fate of disappeared children, raising concerns about threats against Tamil officials in the island.

Judge T. Saravanarajah, a respected Tamil judge in Sri Lanka, has resigned from multiple judicial positions, citing threats to his life and immense stress. The decision follows his recent ruling on the Kurunthurmalai Vihara matter, where he held officials of the archaeological department in contempt of court for failing to comply with a previous order.
