A memorial hall dedicated to 529 fallen Tamil fighters was unveiled in Puthukkudiyirippu, Mullaitivu, on November 22.
The names of 529 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) cadres who were from Mullaitivu were displayed throughout the hall

The mother of three fallen cadres presided over the ribbon cutting to officially open the hall. A flame was lit and a makeshift grave was garlanded to commemorate the Tamil fighters who laid down their lives in the armed struggle.

The memorial hall was organised by the Tamil National People's Front and will be open until Maaveerar Naal which is observed annually by the Tamil nation on November 27.
Tamils across the world are marking Maaveerar Remembrance week in the lead up to Maaveerar Naal.
