UK Labour leader "appalled" by Easter Sunday bomb blasts in Sri Lanka

<p>Jeremy Corbyn, leader of Britain’s Labour Party, has condemned the Easter Sunday bomb blasts in Sri Lanka in a statement.&nbsp;</p> <p>Corbyn tweeted, "I'm appalled by the horrific attacks in Sri Lanka, on Easter Sunday, the most important day in the Christian calendar.</p> <p>I stand with the victims, their families, the people of Sri Lanka and Christians around the world, We must defeat this hatred with unity, love and respect."</p> <p>Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, also condemned the attack tweeting:<br> "Devastating news of horrific attacks in Sri Lanka where innocent people have been murdered and churches targeted during Easter services. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the loved ones of those who have lost their lives".</p> <p>The UK Foreign Office has issued a travel warning following a series of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.</p> <p>Hundreds of people have&nbsp;been confirmed dead, after a series of bomb blasts during Easter Mass in targetted several churches and international hotels across the island.</p>
