Thousands of British Tamils mark Maaveerar Naal

Thousands of Tamils marked Maaveerar Naal in the UK on Sunday, November 27th.

Over 10,000 Tamils gathered at London's Queen Elizabeth park to pay hommage to cadres that lost their lives fighting Sri Lanka's armed forces.

Events in London were in synchronicity with the North-East as family members of Liberation Tamil Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) cadres who lost their lives lit the lamps in rememberance at the same time as those in the North-East.

Tamils also gathered in Oxford on Sunday, where they laid flowers before potraits of fallen cadres.
