ICC ready to prosecute Al-Shabaab atackers in Kenya

A top prosecutor from an international court stated on Tuesday, that she is ready to work with Kenyan government officials to make ensure that the Islamic terrorists who perpetrated the attack on the Kenyan shopping mall are, tried for their crimes.

The international Criminal Court’s Prosectuor Fatou Bensouda, extended her condolences to the victims of the al-Queda linked, Somali terrorist organization AL-Shabab.

Bensouda highlighted that the attacks constituted to a crime under the Rome Statute stating,

“Such attacks by armed groups upon innocent civilians are contrary to international law and may constitute a crime under the Rome Statute, to which Kenya is a State Party.”
