Sri Lankan army builds toilets at Jaffna school

A military ceremony was held at a school in Jaffna last month, to mark the opening of toilets built by Sri Lankan soldiers.

Sri Lankan troops from the 12 Gemunu Watch and 4 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiments, which come under the 523 Brigade, built the toilet facilities at the Drieberg College in Chavakachcheri. Several senior military officials were present for the opening ceremony.

They were provided the funds for the project through a private individual contribution, reports a military website.

The Drieberg College was founded in 1875 by American Missionaries.
