The protest began on Tuesday morning in front of Mahatma Gandhi Park, with protestors marching through Batticaloa town to end up in front of the District Secretariat. |

The protestors handed over a petition with their anti-corruption demands to Tamil parliamentarians S. Yogeswaran, S, Viyalenderan and G. Srinesan who had also participated in the demonstration. |
