Pakistan seeks to build $1 billion trade relationship with Sri Lanka

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will aim to boost bilateral trade between the two countries to US $1 billion said Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce in Colombo.

Speaking at the opening of the Pakistan Single Country Exhibition in Colombo, Khurram Dastgr Khan said,

“The recent visit of our Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reinforced our commitment to Sri Lanka in a wrong way and we are now looking to expand our trade with Sri Lanka greatly. This exhibition is another we strengthen trade economic relations for our mutual prosperity.”

The Pakistan Single Country expo will host 120 Pakistani firms to encourage trade deals and partnership with Sri Lanka’s private sector.
