A contingent of Indian Army Special Force troops concluded joint military exercises with Sri Lankan soldiers on Monday.
The Sri Lankan army website reported that the three week long exercise was “elevating existing relations to new heights and marking the start of a new era of neighbourly understanding and close cooperation between both organizations.”

A contingent of 42 Indian Army Special Force troops, including 5 officers, had undertaken the exercise, alongside 300 Sri Lankan Special Forces soldiers.
Entitled ‘Mithra Shakthi’ the exercise ended on Sunday with the Head of the Indian contingent, Brigadier General G. Sudhakar, and Major General Mano Perera, Commander of the Sri Lankan Security Force Headquarters-Central exchanging plaques.
