Holding placards with photographs of the new president, Maithripala Sirisena, the new prime minister, Ranil Wickremasinghe, as well as Chandrika Kumaratunga, the former president and close ally of the current one, the graduates questioned why they were still without jobs.
Earlier this month, unemployed graduates in the Jaffna district also protested, calling on the Northern Provincial Council to do more to secure them with professional jobs.
