Negotiators from both sides in Cuba agreed to implement the scheme after a finalised political agreement was signed.
The agreement, which was announced by Cuba and Norway, the two sponsors of the talks read,
“The commission will begin to function after the signing of a final agreement and once the Farc have laid down their arms. The government will commit to the clarification of the truth in all events from the conflict, including the most serious human rights violations.”
The agreement come amidst escalating violence between the two sides, that saw a FARC negotiator killed by a Colombian air raid.
