The United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution that agreed on sanctions relief for Iran provide the terms of its nuclear agreement with world powers were implemented.

The US ambassador to the UN Samantha power, added that the deal had not changed the country’s “profound concern about human rights violations committed by the Iranian government or the instability Iran fuels beyond its nuclear programme, from its support of terrorist proxies to repeated threats against Israel to tis other destabilizing activities in the region.”
Russia’s UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said that “a reserve of trust” had been built among the negotiating parties, adding that he hoped the “invaluable experience” could be used to resolve future crisis situations.
