Sri Lanka held talks on emerging security concerns in the Asian region with Pakistan, said the Sri Lankan Army Headquarters.
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani held talks with the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa during a visit to the Colombo.
The army said,
“A brief discussion on matters of international importance and strategic relevance between Mr. Rajapaksa and the Pakistan General,”
“The visiting Army Chief gave an enthusiastic hearing to the Mr. Rajapaksa as he narrated the sequence of security concerns that were emerging in the region.”
Speaking on Saturday after the event General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that Pakistan and Sri Lanka "would do everything possible to achieve regional stability while cementing regional Co-operation."
