North Korea restart nuclear reactor

According to South Korean intelligence, North Korea has restarted a Soviet-era nuclear reactor which was used in the past to obtain plutonium for bombs.

While North Korea is yet to confirm this, it has repeatedly warned of its intentions to restart the reactor as well as running a program to obtain highly enriched uranium, another type of bomb fuel.

Meanwhile, North Korea has been complaining about violations to the nation’s human rights after a Swiss company refused to import luxury ski lifts to the country, observing a UN embargo on luxury goods imports, causing a severe setback to the completion of Kim Jong Un’s luxury ski resort.
