Iran's Deputy Minister for Trade and Mining was shot dead by unknown assailants in Tehran on Sunday night, according to reports.
Safdar Rahmat Abadi was shot in the head and chest as he got into his car on Sunday night, said the IRNA, who quoted police officials as saying,

"Investigations show that two shots were fired from inside the vehicle,"Since 2007, 5 Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed, which Iran claims were due to Westen assassinations. The shooting comes as Iran engages in talks over its nuclear programme.
"That two shells were found inside the car shows a strong likelihood that the assailant was inside the car and in conversation with Mr Abadi. There was no sign of struggle at the scene of the killing".
