Large crowds of protestors faced riot police today, in Istanbul’s Taksim square to demand justice for the murder of a prominent Turkish Armenian journalist, Hrant Dink.
Thousands of protestors called for justice and progress on unanswered questions regarding the circumstances of the journalist’s death.
Dink, was a prominent journalist that campaigned for reconciliation between Turks and Armenians, whilst raising awareness of the genocide of Armenians during World War 1, was shot dead by a Turkish ultranationalist 7 years ago.
