Sri Lankan military completes construction in Jaffna school

The Sri Lankan military announced that it had completed the construction of a new water facility at a school in Jaffna earlier this month.

An official military website article entitled “Warmth of Alliance Once Again Touches the Hearts of Jaffna Students” states that the construction was undertaken based on “guidelines given by Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi”.

Troops of the 522 Brigade constructed the facility inside the Navatkuli Maha Vidyalaya school in Jaffna.

A military ceremony was held at the school earlier this month, with Colonel Harendra Peiris, Commander of Sri Lanka’s 522 Brigade, addressing the students.
