Sri Lankan military ceremony for Jaffna high school students

The Sri Lankan army held a ceremony to showcase Jaffna high school students who achieved the highest grades in their  GCE O/L Examinations in Jaffna this weekend.

The ceremony, held at the  Weerasingham Hall, saw hundreds of high school children in attendance according to an official military website.

The Commander of Sri Lanka’s Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayaka and other senior officials gave speeches, whilst the Governor of Northern Province Reginald Cooray was invited as the Chief Guest.

The Lieutenant General also handed out certificates, a wristwatch and schoolbag to the school children.
