Motorcycles recovered from Sri Lankan HSZ in Jaffna

Two motorcycles were recovered from a well inside a recently released High Security Zone (HSZ) in Jaffna on Thursday.

The two motorcycles - a TVS Victor and Honda Hero - were found alongside other bike parts belonging to an MP90 in a well in KKS. The land was released in 2014, but villagers only uncovered the well this week.

The discovery has caused suspicions amongst local residents that the motorbikes belonged to people who were abducted by the military.

Soldiers with the Sri Lankan military immediately took the license plates attached to both vehicles.
