Sri Lankan military forces attended a lecture on 'compassion' on Thursday.

Over 4500 members of the Tri-forces and police attended the lecture delivered by Anton Charles Thomas, the founder of a spiritual organisation.

The lecture took place at the Palaly air force base, part of a High Security Zone built on occupied land.

Jaffna commander Darshana Hettiarachchi as well as other regional military chiefs were also present.

Despite the risks, our team on the ground remain committed to providing detailed and accurate reporting of developments in the Tamil homeland, across the island and around the world, as well as providing expert analysis and insight from the Tamil point of view
